- Situation
- The company carried working capital funding and a term loan, and GST refunds had been pending since 2017.
- What I did
- Negotiated a one-time settlement with the bank for the working capital funding and term loan.
- Followed up and obtained the pending GST refunds from 2017 onward.
- Built financial models to track trends and forecast cash flows, and reported risks and opportunities to leadership.
- Result
- The bank debt was settled in a single agreement and the old refunds were recovered, which improved the company's cash position.
